What Clients Say
A few words from homeowners and designers we've worked with.
"Our walls had a heavy texture and we were very concerned about the work required to level them and install wallpaper. Eric helped scope the project and explained what had to be done, honestly… The installation afterwards looks phenomenal. Eric and his wife personally did the whole project and made us feel very comfortable throughout. I really don't know a better local professional for wallpaper work."
Thomas C.
"If you want a professional job, this is your guy. He wallpapered my bathroom and brought it to life… He nailed the pattern throughout. I'm over the moon with his expertise. I'd give him more than a five-star rating if it was available."
Donna L., Newalla, OK
"Eric and his wife did an absolutely wonderful job putting up a wallpaper mural in our baby's room… They worked quietly and cleaned up after themselves — very kind, friendly, and easy to work with. Their pricing is very fair, especially given the quality of their work."
Adrienne B.
"Eric floated a heavy wall texture and then applied our wallpaper perfectly. He gave advice before, during, and after the project. Would highly recommend and will refer to for future projects."

About
I've been hanging wallpaper in Oklahoma City since 1992. I learned the trade from my father-in-law, who took me on after I started dating his daughter — partly, the story goes, to get a closer look at me. Daphne and I got married. The job stuck.
He had learned the trade from his uncle. Daphne grew up in it. Our daughter Ireland is learning it from us. Four generations in this family, and it's still moving.
Daphne was at home raising our four kids for most of those years. Once they were in high school she started coming out on site, and she's been there ever since — handling the scheduling, running the table, trimming, pasting, keeping the wall moving. After thirty years of marriage we've gotten pretty good at working next to each other.
Our daughter Ireland has been with us nearly seven years. She apprenticed with us, taking on more as her experience allowed, and now leads jobs of her own as part of the OKCwallpaper crew. She's on most jobs with us.
What We Do
We work with designers
Designers are a big part of what we do — and some of our most challenging work. We've worked with designers from New York, Seattle, Nashville, California, alongside our local favorites. New or established, if you're looking for an installer, we'd love to work with you.
We know the material
York to de Gournay. Screen-printed, hand-painted, grasscloth, hide, custom murals, large-scale chinoiserie. An installer who does beautiful work with a 20-inch York may have no idea how to handle a hand-painted silk. The materials with no second chance are where we're set up to shine. Knowing a material also means knowing how it's supposed to behave. Screen prints can vary across the run. Grasscloth shows its weave. Hand-painted panels are individually painted. That's what makes the paper special — and what you're paying for.
We work with homeowners
Some of our best projects come directly from homeowners. A single powder room is as welcome as a whole house. If you've ever wondered whether your job is too small to bother us with — it isn't.
Materials We Install

A short list, not a complete one. If you've chosen something else, we can hang it.
Common Questions
How do we get started?
The easiest way is our project details form — it walks you through exactly what we need: the rooms, measurements, a few photos, and the paper if you've already chosen one. Prefer to talk it through? Call or text us at (405) 205-9839, or email info@okcwallpaper.com. Either way, we'll put together an estimate, usually within 48 hours once we have what we need.
Where do I get the wallpaper?
You or your designer choose and order the paper, and we install it. Not sure how much to order? We'll work out the quantity for you. And if you'd like to know where to buy it, just give us a call — we work with several local suppliers and can point you to the right one for your project.
How long does it take to get the paper?
It depends on the line and material you've chosen. Some arrives within days; some can take months. Most suppliers can give you a good ballpark when you order — and a local supplier can usually give you an even better read on the timing.
How far out do you book?
We're usually booked a few months out — but that rarely means you'll wait that long. Once you approve the quote, we give you a firm install date that's yours. And if you're flexible and your material is already in hand, we'll add you to our move-up list: construction schedules shift constantly, openings appear, and when one fits your job, we call to move you up. The sooner you're ready, the sooner we can get you in.
How do you charge?
By the job. Once we have a clear scope and your material selected, we'll give you a firm estimate — so there are no surprises down the line. People budget around these projects, and we respect that, so we hold to our number. If the scope or the paper changes in a big way, the price can change too, but we'll always talk it through before it does. We do have a job minimum; reach out and we'll walk you through the details.
Do you remove old wallpaper?
Yes — when we're hanging new wallpaper, taking down the old paper and prepping the wall is part of the job. We don't take on removal on its own, though — like stripping paper so a room can be painted. Our removal and prep go hand in hand with installing new paper.
I have textured walls — can I still do wallpaper?
Yes — but the texture has to be smoothed out first. Wallpaper doesn't hide texture or wall imperfections; it highlights them, and can make a wall look worse than before. So a textured wall gets skim-coated: a thin layer of drywall mud, sanded smooth, usually over several coats. It's real work — often about as much time as hanging the paper itself — so there's a cost to it. The upside: we smooth the walls with a Festool HEPA dust-extraction system, so we keep dust to an absolute minimum and your home stays livable while we work.
Do you travel?
For the right project, yes. We're based in Oklahoma City and travel when the job warrants it. Travel adds real cost, so it has to make sense — but we've worked across the country, and we're happy to talk about it.
How much do I order — and what's a “roll,” anyway?
Trickier than it should be. “A roll” isn't a standard size anymore, and every line measures differently — single, double, yardage, panels. Getting the quantity right is exactly the kind of thing we help with, so you don't over-order or come up short.
